Assembly instructions :
1. Preparation :
- Ensure tension-free installation when laying the entire STRONGBOARD FL.
- Make sure that the adhesive layer, such as RollFix ECO, is applied thinly and has dried out completely before the elements are pressed into place.
- Ensure a perfectly flat, clean subfloor before installing the underfloor heating and STRONGBOARD FL.
2. Laying :
- Laying is done in an offset relationship with a minimum offset of 20 cm. Cross joints are not permitted.
- Cut the plates to size with a standard circular, plunge or jigsaw.
- For better load distribution, smaller pieces should be placed in the penultimate row, maintaining the bond.
3. Protection :
- Protect the finished surface from contamination. Cover walking routes sufficiently, for example with insulation plates.
4. Finishing :
- The top floor covering can be laid directly on the STRONGBOARD FL.
- On tiled floors, the butt joints must be covered with joint tape. Make sure the tape does not overlap.
5. Specific Applications :
- In wet areas, a plastic-reinforced, cement-bound sealing slurry such as Mapelastic or Monolastic from MAPEI is suitable.
