MAPEI Silicone Sealant with Pure Acetic Acid Very Flexible and Mildew Resistant BioBlock® Technology with Up to 25% Elasticity Strong and Durable
MAPEI Mapesil AC is a high-quality silicone sealant with pure acetic acid, designed to resist mold formation and provide exceptional elasticity of up to 25%. Mapesil AC is ideal for sealing joints in glass, ceramic and anodized aluminum. In combination with the adhesion improver Primer FD, this sealant can also be applied to concrete, wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic and rubber.
Applications of Mapesil AC:
- Sealing expansion joints with a movement capacity of approximately 25% compared to the original size.
- Creating a fully flexible seal between construction elements, both in the construction sector and in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, automotive industry and other industrial applications.
Technical properties:
Mapesil AC is a solvent-free, one-component silicone sealant based on acetic acid, available in both transparent and colored variants. This sealant has the consistency of a thixotropic paste and can be easily applied to both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Curing takes place after exposure to humidity at ambient temperature, resulting in an elastic product with the following characteristics:
- Excellent durability even after prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions, industrial pollution, large temperature changes and immersion in water.
- Significant elasticity.
- Strong adhesion to glass, ceramic and anodized aluminum.
- Mold resistance.
- Waterproof and vapor permeable.
- Resistant to chemicals.
- Flexible up to -40°C and resistant to temperatures up to +180°C.
- Easy to apply.
- Complies with the ISO 11600 standard and is classified as F-25-LM.
