Planitex Pro is a versatile indoor product designed to fill, level and remedy imperfections in layers of 1 to 15 mm on both new and existing substrates, suitable for almost all types of floor coverings in high-traffic areas. This product is particularly suitable for areas where chair wheels and underfloor heating are present and is intended for indoor use only. Planitex Pro can be seamlessly covered with textiles, needle felt, PVC, design floors, rubber, linoleum, parquet, ceramics and natural stone.
Here are some application examples:
- Leveling calcium sulphate screed floors.
- Smoothing concrete surfaces and cement screeds.
- Leveling floors with underfloor heating.
- Excellent for leveling surfaces that are sensitive to tension, such as mastic asphalt screeds, prefabricated screeds, dry construction elements, chipboard and OSB boards, magnesia and stonewood screeds, etc. This product is suitable for applications with calcium sulphate screed C35-F7 A2FLs1.
- Smoothing existing terrazzo, ceramic and natural stone coverings.
- Leveling old surfaces with well-adhering, waterproof adhesive residues.
Technical specifications:
Planitex Pro is a white, ready-to-use dry mortar, composed of alpha-hemihydrate calcium sulphate, quickly hydrating ingredients, selected quartz sands with a specific grain size, resins and special binder combinations. This product was developed in MAPEI research laboratories. When mixed with water, a very fluid, easy to work, self-levelling filler is created with excellent adhesion to the substrate. Planitex Pro can be mechanically processed with commercially available mortar pumps and transported over distances of up to 100 m. It can be applied without cracking in layer thicknesses of up to 15 mm and achieves high flexural and compressive strength after complete curing. For layer thicknesses of more than 15 mm (maximum 50 mm), approximately 30% quartz sand with a grain size of 0.4-0.8 mm can be added. Once ready for cladding, the top cladding can be applied. Drying and curing times vary depending on the filler thickness, climatic conditions and the absorption capacity of the substrate.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
- Do not add more water if the curing process has already started.
- Do not add other binders (lime, gypsum, cement) or fillers.
- Do not use Planitex Pro outdoors or in damp areas.
- Do not use Planitex Pro on surfaces with a risk of rising damp or excessive residual moisture.
- With a multi-layer application, this can only be done after the first layer has dried and after applying an intermediate primer.
- Do not use Planitex Pro on wooden planks, deep pile carpeting, rubber, PVC or linoleum without proper preparation and primer.
- Planitex Pro should not be used at temperatures below +15 °C. For parquet, a minimum layer thickness of 3 mm is required.
- Do not use Planitex Pro in layer thicknesses greater than 10 mm or on surfaces that are sensitive to moisture or do not provide sufficient stability (e.g. magnesite screeds, adhesive residues, etc.). In such cases a reaction resin primer should always be used.
Consumption:
Approximately 1.5 kg/m2 per millimeter layer thickness.
To minimize crack formation, it is recommended to apply the leveling layer floating using an elastic edge strip along the edges. This prevents cracks from forming in the event of any floor expansion. The use of a primer under the leveling layer is also highly recommended.
