With a thickness of only 15 mm, the PhoneStar insulation board achieves an airborne sound insulation of Rw=36 dB (85%), which is comparable to a gas concrete wall of 30 cm thickness. And that's not all, the plates also offer an enormous impact sound reduction of Lnw=33.8 dB (70%). This makes the PhoneStar insulation boards very suitable for use in existing homes and offers an ideal solution for shielding a room from walking noise from the neighbors.

In addition, the plates are very easy to process. You can cut the panels to size using a jigsaw or plunge saw, after which you can tape them with the corresponding system tape. We advise you to place a strip of sheep's wool felt along the edges so that the sides of the plates do not make hard contact with the side walls, ceiling and floor.

The Wolf PhoneStar ST-tri acoustic insulation boards are suitable for walls, ceilings and as a dry subfloor and are used as contact and airborne sound insulation for indoor use. The plates are environmentally friendly and consist of natural raw materials such as sand and wood. With a thickness of only 12.5 mm, these plates offer airborne sound insulation of Rw=36 dB (85%) and impact sound insulation of Lw=20 dB.
